Heyo everyone! Welcome to AMSA at UCSD’s official website! My name is Sebastian and I will be serving as AMSA at UC San DIego’s President for the 2025-2026 term. 

 

With such a large constituency consisting of both pre-med and pre-health students, AMSA at UCSD aims to provide our members with a variety of opportunities. Whether that be more traditional like networking events and clinical opportunities or general volunteering experiences like aiding the underserved in San Diego, there are a variety of niches that anyone can pursue. We even have long term opportunities such as planning for our annual Health Fair.

 

Equally as relevant are the variety of ways to connect with other members in AMSA! We host a variety of socials throughout the year; annual events such as our bonfire, winter retreat, and spring banquet; and even the Big Little Program that promotes long lasting friendships among AMSA members. 

I was introduced to AMSA my first year. Initially intimidated by its size, I was immediately welcomed by an inclusive community full of students who wanted to succeed together, rather than alone. I’ve formed some of my greatest relationships and made unforgettable memories because of our fAMSA and I can confidently say that it has solidified my love for this club and UCSD as a whole (I don’t say that lightly!). 

 

When I reminisce about my favorite experiences, the first thing that comes to mind isn’t the place I was in or what I had, but it was the people I was with. fAMSA’s community is filled with a diverse group of kind, driven, and funny people that you won’t want to miss.
